Annual Giving

Annual gifts from friends like you help fund all aspects of the Museum's mission: to stimulate interest in and further understanding of science and technology and their importance for individuals and for society. Gifts to the annual fund are unrestricted and especially valuable in enabling the Museum to meet its programming goals.

Donor Recognition Societies

All gifts are important to supporting the Museum's fiscal foundation, and donations of $300 and more are recognized in our special giving societies. Through these gift recognition societies, we offer a wide range of benefits to those whose donations make such a significant impact to the underwriting of critical unrestricted operating funds.

  • The Explorers
For annual gifts ranging from $300 to $2,499, donors receive published recognition and exciting benefits.

  • The Discoverers
Annual donations of $2,500 or higher offer additional unique opportunities for donors to connect to core Museum activities.

  • The Innovators
Philanthropic young professionals (up to age 45) who contribute $500 or higher annually have unparalleled access to science and technology initiatives and networking opportunities.

The Museum of Science is recognized by the IRS and the State of Massachusetts as a nonprofit organization. Gifts of all denominations are welcomed at any time, and may include cash, securities, and other gifts. Unrestricted contributions may be made in any amount, and are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows.
