Download video directlyA toxic chemical spill can pose a major threat to a heavily populated area, and chemical sniffing devices can detect only a handful of the toxins that can potentially harm us. A group at the University of Illinois has developed a small device that uses a nano gel that can react to a number of different chemicals and display a unique color pattern to indicate the type of toxin in the air.
