A team of scientists led by Dr. Dylan Chivian of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory have discovered a unusual kind of bacteria living in complete isolation nearly two miles inside the Earth's crust. These microorganisms live in extreme conditions, with no sunlight, no oxygen, no other living things, and temperatures of 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Watch this video to learn more.
