Guest presenter Dr. Aaron Baggish from Massachusetts General Hospital has been studying hundreds of college athletes to determine how exercise affects the size and shape of the human heart. In this videocast, Dr. Baggish talks about his group's latest research, in which the athletes are studied during actual periods of exercise, allowing researchers to assesses the heart's ability to function under conditions of increased blood pressure and volume.
